BEND, OR – The credentials review committee at Our Lady of Hope Medical Center has started investigative proceedings against general surgeon Dr. David Wymer.  Wymer who has been affiliated with Our Lady of Hope for the past six years is a respected and well-liked surgeon with no claims or pending legal proceedings.

Dr. John Stall, the Chair of Surgery and Morbidity & Mortality (M&M) facilitator at Our Lady of Hope, has nothing but praise for this physician whom he states has adverse outcome and infection rates lower than the national average.

The chair of the credentials committee, Dr. Mitch Wong, in a statement to the hospital board declares, “How can we trust a surgeon if his shoes are always untied?  Do you want your loved one going under the knife if you questioned the longevity of every surgical knot?”

For the time being, Dr. Wymer remains on administrative leave and his council has advised him he should only wear footwear with a Velcro closure.
