Army Medical Student Disappointed to Hear Apache II Score Has Nothing to Do with Helicopters

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – Third year medical student and prior helicopter pilot, Tim McGrowler, was disappointed to find out that the APACHE II has nothing to do with helicopters.  “I was getting excited on rounds when we started talking about the Apache II Score.  I was ready to light up rounds with my helicopter knowledge.”

McGrowler was brought back to reality when he found out the score was used to predict ICU mortality.

One minute of temporary excitement on rounds was followed by another 3.2 hours of typical pain on medicine rounds.

When pimped, McGrowler went into an uncomfortable minute flashback of Apache domination.  “What a glorious minute that was.  I was unloading my 30 mm gun while in a banked 45 degree turn,” said McGrowler.  “Hands down, the best minute of my medicine rotation.”
