In a recent study of former NFL players who donated their brains to science after death, 87 of 91 players (96%) tested positive for chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).  CTE is a progressive degenerative brain disease associated with repetitive brain trauma including concussions.

  • 96% of Americans believe their personal freedom to watch football is more important than preventing progressive brain disease in healthy young athletes.
  • 98% of NFL fans believe their team is TOTALLY THE BEST, and do not give a rat’s ass about recent CTE data.
  • 97% of parents of children playing tackle football were “not at all concerned” or “not even a teeny, tiny bit concerned” about the recent data.
  • 100% of high school football players believe playing football is cool.
  • 98% of college athletic directors thought their football program was critical to the financial well-being of their college.  Oh wait, what was the question?
  • 96% of NFL team doctors, 100% of whom receive salary support from the NFL, think the risks of CTE are “over-exaggerated.”
  • 96% of college and NFL players are “somewhat concerned” or “very concerned.”  4% didn’t understand the question.
  • 100% of NFL coaches were unavailable for interview at press time because they were crying in a corner.
