CAMBRIDGE, MA – Local ICU nurse Debbie Watson called in rich this morning after winning the historic Powerball.
Mr. Weathers has dodged death countless times and has had an ICU stay of 231 ICU days. “We have him on 5 pressors, we have trached, pegged, nephrostomy tubed, colostomy tubed, rectal tubed, you name it! He codes almost weekly.”
Despite coding almost weekly for the past 5 months, Mr. Weathers is still able to make a movement signaling he is alive. “He has been a valuable resource to medical students and residents,” Dr. Summer, ICU chief, told reporters. “They can practice codes on him and he always seems to come back.”
Debbie went into detail on how she picked her lucky numbers: “First I took his blood pressure during today’s code: 34/19; the respiratory rate: 27; his 24-hour nephrostomy tube output: 8 mL; the depth of his ET tube: 19; and number of codes this week: 4.”
Debbie can be reached on her own private island where she hired a hospital administrator to take care of her ‘lucky charm’ on her private beach: Mr. Weathers.
