NEW YORK, NY – In a dramatic move that is sure to send shock waves through the medical community, an elite Surgical Residency program has announced the creation of it’s first ever Wellness curriculum, which will begin at 6:00 AM on Christmas morning. After reading the anonymous surveys from his Residents, Program Director Dr. Michael Peters decided that it was time for a change.
The curriculum, which was sent to the Residents via Whats App, will feature five hours of yoga, trust falls, and a lecture titled “Why you are poor”. It will be the first of it’s kind in the surgical specialty. The move was applauded by other New York City Program Directors.
“The holidays can be difficult. Especially when you’re a resident and have to spend time away from your family. What better time to start being well than Christmas day?,” said Long Island Program Director Dr. Steven gild.
“That should do it,” commented Brooklyn program director Dr. Tyler Green.
Residents received three additional reminders prior to the lecture series, advising them not to be late, bring family, or expect breaks. The lecture series will culminate with a fifty question quiz.
