Henry-Winkler-as-The-Fonz-001MILWAUKEE, WI – The critical care service at Sweet Sweet Mercy Hospital has denied Fonzie a potentially life-saving intervention.  He recently suffered an out of hospital cardiac arrest, and after he was successfully resuscitated, the emergency physician charged with his care, Dr. Potsie, immediately began targeted temperature management as recommended by the American Heart Association.  He needed Fonzie to be just a bit cooler.  Dr. Richie, the critical care consultant, took one look at him and declined to therapeutic hypothermia.  “Ayyyy!  He’s already too cool baby!” exclaimed the Happy Days aficionado.  Fonzie went on to have a poor neurologic outcome and is currently living in a rehabilitation hospital in Texas.
