With summer here a new trend is sweeping the nation among Mediterranean-descent men: Bactrim. When we looked into this odd trend, via google search, we were shocked at the results. WebMD says that Bactrim is “used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections (such as middle ear, urine, respiratory, and intestinal infections).” Wow. What disease is running though this hirsute population that would cause many to participate in Bactrim?
“If their hair follicles are getting infected this is NOT the ideal antibiotic,” Dr. Nolan Morse, an ID specialist, told Gomerblog. “Bactrim is not for everyone and shouldn’t be taken lightly.”
One thing is obvious is that many users of Bactrim have lost all their hair on the posterior aspect of their torsos. We will update as this story develops.
